Dominion's Roots

Dominion Customs Consultants Inc. traces its roots back to 1981, when founding and current President John Preston, and Vice President Arthur Briggs, began the firm. Both men believed that many companies were spending a disproportionate amount of their business earnings on customs duties - funds that could instead go straight to the bottom line.

Success came swiftly as Dominion quickly became accepted by many of North America's largest importers as a trusted partner. This accomplishment quickly led to the decision to provide a complementary service in sales tax. Thus, in 1984, Dominion Sales Tax Consultants was formed. Once again, the value of this service was soon recognized by companies of all sizes as they began to realize the value of a complete commodity tax service.
